Six Months to Scale: The Exchange Programme and Our EO Mission
We are pleased to announce that Still We Grow has been selected to participate in The Exchange Programme, joining the Growth Cohort for the next six months. This achievement represents not only an opportunity for us as founders, but also a significant step forward for the employee ownership (EO) community we serve. During the programme, we will work closely with mentors, peers, and partners to refine our business model, expand our reach, and strengthen our ability to support a rapidly evolving sector.
What Is The Exchange Programme?
The Exchange is Manchester’s six-month support programme designed for ambitious early-stage and scale-ready ventures in the digital, creative, and technology sectors. It offers tailored mentoring, workshops, networking opportunities, and access to a dynamic founder community. The programme operates two tracks: one for start-ups validating and refining ideas, and a Growth Cohort for businesses like ours that are preparing to scale with confidence.
Being part of the Growth Cohort provides targeted support across strategy, investment readiness, product development, and leadership. It creates a structured environment to test assumptions, stress-test our platform, and refine our delivery model while learning from experienced entrepreneurs and industry specialists.
Why We Applied
Still We Grow was founded with a mission to fill a critical gap in the EO landscape. While employee ownership is growing rapidly in the UK, many businesses transitioning to EOTs (Employee Ownership Trusts) lack ongoing advisory support beyond the legal and financial transaction. We believe there is a better way: combining multidisciplinary consulting with data-driven insights to help employee-owned companies thrive long after the transition is complete.
When we pitched to join The Exchange Programme, we highlighted three priorities:
Platform vision: building a proprietary system to capture and analyse sector-wide intelligence, making high-quality insights accessible to EO businesses at every stage.
Consulting expertise: blending financial, cultural, leadership, and digital disciplines into an integrated service model that goes beyond traditional advisory.
Commitment to impact: ensuring EO businesses are not only positioned to succeed, but equipped to become leaders within their sectors, communities, and regions.
The panel recognised the importance of our mission and the growth potential of an EO-focused consultancy underpinned by technology. Acceptance into The Exchange affirms both the appetite for our approach and confidence in the impact it can deliver.
What We Aim to Achieve
The next six months will focus on disciplined growth and scaling our impact in three core areas:
Growth and Reach: expanding our platform and content so that more EO businesses across the UK can access guidance, benchmarks, and strategies. Our goal is to establish Still We Grow as the trusted growth partner for ambitious EO companies.
Capability Building: using mentorship and resources from The Exchange to refine our service delivery model, accelerate product development, and test new approaches to leadership and cultural engagement in EO firms.
Community and Credibility: embedding ourselves within the Exchange network while strengthening our role across the EO ecosystem. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of employee ownership among the wider entrepreneurial community and demonstrate its value as a scalable alternative to trade sales or private equity.
What This Means for the EO Sector
Our involvement in The Exchange is more than an organisational milestone; it is part of a larger narrative about the expansion of employee ownership in the UK. By bringing EO into a programme traditionally focused on digital, creative, and tech ventures, we are raising the model’s profile among investors, mentors, and founders who may not have considered it before. It reinforces the message that EO is not niche, but a mainstream option with both commercial and social value.
For EO businesses, our participation means stronger support, improved data, and more scalable tools will soon be available. By combining the resources of The Exchange with our expertise, we aim to deliver solutions that help EO companies grow with confidence and sustainability.
How We’ll Share the Journey
We view this six-month programme as the start of something bigger. Over the coming months, we will share updates on our progress—what we are learning, how our platform is developing, and the ways community and mentoring are shaping our work. We will reflect openly on both challenges and successes, using this platform to highlight the wider EO movement.
Ownership is only the beginning. Growth is where the real story starts. By joining The Exchange Programme, Still We Grow is investing in the tools, insights, and community connections that will help EO businesses across the UK achieve their full potential. We are eager for the months ahead, committed to learning, building, and growing together.
